Moscow Attractions
Besides the numerous museums and theatres, Moscow offers quite some somewhat lighter entertainment for your City Break Moscow. Some museums and theatres are really interesting for children too, with special areas for children or interactive exhibitions, but for a change (or after your children start protesting when you mention one more museum) you could for example visit the Moscow Zoo or Gorky Park.Moscow Zoo
The Moscow Zoo was established in the middle of the 19th century, and opened for public in 1864. It started as a zoological garden, but today it is a large scientific, educational and conservation institution with over 8,000 animals representing more than 1,000 species and covering an area of about 21.5 hectares. The zoo is an excellent attraction for children, with a sea aquarium, an aviary, a ‘creatures of the night’ exhibit, a sea lion exhibit and a special section aimed at children. For more information see the website www.moscowzoo.ru.

Gorky Park
Gorky Park is the oldest and most famous entertainment park in Moscow and has been a prototype for parks in Russia. Half of it is mainly targeting children with all kinds of attractions such as rollercoasters, bungee jumping or horse or boat hiring. The other part contains several gardens, some interesting old buildings and an outdoor amphitheatre. If you want to spot local Russians spending their free time or if you are in need for some laziness yourself, this is definitely the place to be.
