Teatro Nacional Don Maria II

Teatro Nacional de São Carlos
Teatro Nacional de São Carlos is a beautiful opera house in the Chiado area in the centre of Lisbon. The theatre was inaugurated in 1793 at the location of a former opera house, called the Tejo Opera House, which was destroyed in the earthquake in 1755. The theatre is designed by the Portuguese architect José da Costa e Silva in a remarkable neoclassical style with some rococo details.

Teatro Camões
Teatro Camões is home to the Portuguese National Ballet Company. The design of this modern theatre building is the work of the Portuguese architect Manuel Salgado.
