Museo Correr
The Museo Correr is situated at the Piazza San Marco. Here you can learn about all aspects of the history of Venice, including arts, politics, geography and society. A masterpiece of the museum is the sculpture of Canova. Interesting historic items you can admire here are a 16th century map of the city, ladies´ shoe from around 500 years old and different kinds of Venetian paintings from the 13th till the 16th century.

Museo Storico Navale di Venezia
Here you can experience the long history of Venice and its special relation with the sea. In Museo Navale you will discover all kinds of items and artifacts that once belonged to famous ships. Peggy Guggenheim was the daughter of an American millionaire with a passion for 20th century art. She collected lots of prominent masterpieces from artists like Picasso, Klee and Miró. The museum houses in the beautiful Palazzo Vernier dei Leoni at the Grand Canal. The Peggy Guggenheim Museum is one of the most visited cultural attractions of the ´City of Water`.

Museo di Storia Naturale
Are you interested in the history of evolution? Then you really should visit the Museo di Storia Naturale in Venice. Here you will get to know everything about dinosaurs and cavemen. Ca´Rezzonico
The Palazzo Ca´Rezzonico houses a wonderful museum about Venice in the 18th century, which first opened its doors in 1936. The museum is especially dedicated to Venetian artists, such as Longhi, Tiepolo and Guardi. Ca´Rezzonico is located at the Grand Canal and you can recognize it by its beautiful white marble façade.
