Currency in Italy
In Venice the currency is euro, just like in the rest of Italy and in most of the other countries of the European Union. You can easily change travellers cheques or foreign money at banks or at the airport. Sometimes it is also possible at hotels, but normally at a less convenient rate. Also credit cards like MasterCard, Visa and Diners Club are widely accepted in Venice. But be aware that maybe some small shops and restaurants will only accept cash.
Time zone in Venice
The standard time zone in Venice is UTC/GMT + 1 hour. But during the Central European Summer Time the time zone is UTC/GMT +2 hours.
Language in Italy
Venice is used to receive lots of tourists from all over the world. So if you don´t speak the beautiful Italian language, English will also do.
